What is it? It is dedicated to celebrating all things gin. It’s about getting people from across the world together to drink gin under a series of events taking place in one day.
- Origin: Founded by blogger Neil Houston in 2009, he did this as a day to bring his own friends together.
- It has now evolved into a global celebration with events running in over 30 countries around the world, and reaching 50 million people on social channels.
- People can become ambassadors, Emma Stokes is the current World Gin Day Ambassador. She is also a business women and blogger “Gin Monkey”.
