K9 Veterans Day
March 13th is known to be K9 Veterans Day.
This day is set aside to honor the service and sacrifices that are made by American military and working dogs throughout history.
On March13th 1942, the Army began training for its new War Dog Program, which is known as "K-9 Corps". This was the first time that dogs were officially a part of the US Armed Forces.
